Claiming Canada\u2019s new warning<\/a> to its LGBTQ<\/strong><\/a> people is a \u201cpolitical\u201d attack on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis<\/strong><\/a> and not an \u201cactual concern,\u201d several Fox News<\/strong><\/a> hosts on Thursday delivered caustic commentary against the Canadian government and U.S. cities including LGBTQ-friendly San Francisco and New York.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, they\u2019re talking about Florida, right? They\u2019re aiming this at Ron DeSantis, and the \u2018Don\u2019t Say Gay\u2019 bill, which is one of the most ridiculous interpretations of that bill that I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d declared Fox News guest host Michele Tafoya, the former NBC Sports reporter who kicked off her political career with a \u201ccontroversial stand on race relations<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n After mentioning that the NAACP had issued a travel warning for LGBTQ people thinking of visiting Florida, Tafoya insisted, \u201cthis is all very much, this is very political, and it\u2019s misdirected.\u201d<\/p>\n READ MORE: Governor Smacks Down GOP Lawmaker and Trump for \u2018End Run\u2019 Attempt to Derail Fani Willis\u2019 RICO Prosecution<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI think they need to be a little more concerned about countries in the Middle East who throw LGBTQ types off buildings and disrupt weddings and don\u2019t even allow us to think about it,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo this is, it\u2019s rich coming from Canada, that banned certain people from thinking and talking certain ways to suggest that you might be in danger here.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t think of a single law that has anyone in danger for being part of the LGBTQ community,\u201d Tafoya, who holds a masters in business administration, added.<\/p>\n The Daily Beast\u2019s Justin Baragona, who posted the videos below, pointed to an ACLU report titled: \u201cMapping Attacks on LGBTQ Rights in U.S. State Legislatures<\/a>.\u201d It notes the civil rights organization \u201cis tracking 496 anti-LGBTQ bills in the U.S.\u201d The report lists 10 anti-LGBTQ bills in Florida, including four that have already passed into law, one of which is being fought in court.<\/p>\n READ MORE: CPAC\u2019s Matt and Mercedes Schlapp Attack \u2018Satan\u2019s Publication\u2019 After Report Adds More Details on Sexual Battery Lawsuit<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n As the discussion continued, Fox News host Dagen McDowell claimed Canada is \u201cclearly worried about people\u2019s feelings and not their physical safety. Because there are other countries, New Zealand, Australia, and France, have warned their citizens about violent crimes and shootings in our cities. That\u2019s an actual concern.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf Canada was worried about anybody coming to the United States, say, \u2018Hey, be careful if you go to places that have historically been friendly to the, and I gotta get this right because Canada again, turned it around, 2SLGBTQI+, San Francisco, New York City, you will get injured if you come here. So they rather than caring about again, safety, that should be in the warning and you mentioned yep, Canada is your, Jordan Peterson has to go through some social media reeducation, which is like Soviet Union Gulag-era nonsense. Well done.
