CEO statement – Addressing the scourge of antisemitism
Antisemitism is on the rise in America amid a highly polarized political climate that has incited acts of violence against Jews, including by a range of high-profile figures.
Nearly four years after the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh, the Anti-Defamation League reports a 60 percent increase in known incidents of harassment, vandalism, and assault of Jewish institutions and schools from 2020 – 2021.
The Center condemns antisemitism in all its forms. Freedom from discrimination and freedom of religion and thought are basic human rights. We call on leaders in all sectors of society to enforce hate crimes laws and promote a culture in which people of all faiths, races, and backgrounds are safe, secure, and welcome.
