— Elon Musk, cracking a joke in response to a question asked during cross-examination by Gregory Varallo of Bernstein Litowitz, in the Tesla trial challenging his compensation. Varallo wondered if Musk was “trained as a lawyer” after the CEO said the consent decree he’d reached with the SEC in 2018 was “not valid as a foundation of law” because he entered it “under duress.”
