A South Carolina drug dealer learned the true definition of bad luck after a mistaken text to a sheriff’s deputy led to a drug deal gone wrong.
According to a Facebook post by the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, Tondavian Wilson, 31, was arrested after texting photos of drugs and a gun for sale to a wrong number that just so happened to belong to a deputy with the sheriff’s office.
Police say Wilson texted the number purely by chance.
The deputy decided to investigate after randomly receiving the unsolicited text, which contained photos of neatly packaged marijuana and a pistol in a box with a magazine.
The deputy first “started a text dialogue” with Wilson concerning prices for the goods he was selling. Wilson, unaware of who he was texting, then gave a location for a meeting place to make the exchange.
When deputies arrived at the home in Cheraw that Wilson was operating out of, they found a bag containing more than 90 grams of marijuana along with the firearm.
According to police, Wilson was “was arrested without incident and dumbfounded by his obvious texting mistake.”
He was then charged with possession with an intent to distribute within proximity to a school/playground, as well as illegal possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
“That’s called KARMA!” one Facebook commenter wrote on the sheriff’s office’s post.
