Holland & Knight will merge with Tennessee law firm

Holland & Knight has announced a merger with Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, a Nashville, Tennessee-based law firm with more than 280 lawyers.
The merged firm will have nearly 2,000 lawyers in 35 offices, according to a press release and stories by Reuters and Law.com.
The merger will take place in the first quarter of 2023.
Waller is known for its health care practice. Outside Nashville, Tennessee, the firm has offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama; and Austin, Texas.
The new firm will use the Holland & Knight name.
It’s the second significant recent merger for Holland & Knight. In 2021, it merged with Thompson & Knight to create a 1,600-lawyer law firm. It has since grown to more than 1,700 lawyers.
