A Georgia man bungled a robbery so badly that police likened the situation to a scene from the movie Home Alone.

According to the Gainesville Police Department, Luis Sajbocho-Ordonez, 30, attempted to rob a business early on Christmas morning, but things didn’t go exactly as he had planned. He is now facing armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.

According to the arrest affidavit, Sajbocho-Ordonez was hiding behind a business in Gainesville when he pulled a gun on and demanded money from an employee who walked outside.

The employee engaged in a physical altercation with Sajbocho-Ordonez, who then fired a shot after another worker exited the building and startled him.

Sajbocho-Ordonez allegedly tried to flee the scene but slipped on a patch of frozen ice and hit his head. The witnesses were able to take the suspect’s two guns away from him as he laid injured on the ground. They then waited until police arrived to take Sajbocho-Ordonez into custody.

“Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred and the perp went to jail,” the Gainesville Police Department posted on Facebook along with a mugshot of the injured criminal.

Sajbocho-Ordonez is currently being held without bail at the Hall County Jail.
