A pig in Giles County, Virginia, that crossed paths with the law became the talk of the town recently.

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo on Facebook on January 25 of a police major petting a large gray pig on the roadside.

“Major Moye tried to literally bring home the bacon today on a call,” the sheriff’s office said in the post. “It turns out, the pair just chewed the fat for a while.”

The GCSO knew what they were doing with that pun.

“Yes we know what the comments are going to look like! Let’s see if anyone can come up with something we haven’t heard before! Pressure is on!” the sheriff’s office added.

The post successfully roused people’s humor.

“New informant is a squealer,” one Facebook user wrote.

“I’m still hungry. Can I have some Moye Bacon please,” another person commented.

“Bacon your lardon, but couldn’t help pork’n fun at this. I’ll spare you any more of my ribbin’!” yet another commenter joked.
