Jordan Haber plans to attend Cardozo Law in the Fall. That is, of course, if he’s not selected in tomorrow’s NBA Draft. Which is to say… he will be attending Cardozo Law in the Fall.
You may not remember Haber from the Florida Gator men’s basketball team and that’s because he wasn’t on it. Nor was he on his high school team. Or middle school. But the future lawyer excels is in research and paperwork and as it turns out, that’s all you need to declare for the draft.

Haber, an incoming student at Cardozo School of Law in New York, said he was bored one day and decided to read through the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement.
It wasn’t until he scrolled to page 273 that he found the criteria for meeting draft eligibility.
As it happens, the requirements for declaring yourself eligible aren’t that high, which might explain the 2022-23 Pistons (who have shown some probably tongue-in-cheek interest). Haber checked all the requisite boxes being over 19 and having gone to a U.S. college.
From there, it’s just a bit of paperwork to get added to the pool of available draft picks. His social media coverage of the effort garnered the attention of the Barclay’s Center social media team who invited him to attend the draft in person.
“I think when I walk into the Barclays Center, I will get pretty emotional just because of how far this has come,” Haber told ABC 7.
“It’s what you dream of as a kid, like that small chance you get drafted.”
Very, very small. But as a law firm prospect, this kid has a lot of upside. Solid contract evaluation skills. Takes difficult paperwork to completion. Could still stand to add a bit more weight from recruiting dinners, but that will come in time. Tremendous potential.
