katyalnealh15185Former president Donald Trump has already been indicted twice this year– New York tagged him over financial crimes related to the Stormy Daniels hush money and he’s got a federal indictment over his handling of classified documents. But it is incredibly likely there’s at least one more coming. Trump announced to the world he got a target letter from special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol which pretty much means an indictment is on the way.

But inquiring — and impatient — minds want to know WHEN it is coming.

Hogan Lovells partner and former acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal appeared on MSNBC to discuss the timing of a potential indictment. Given Trump’s trigger finger on social media he thinks Smith is pretty much ready to go on the indictment, saying, “So, I do think his ducks are probably all in a row.”

He continued:

“For Jack Smith to send that letter, he had to be pretty sure he was going to indict, and indict soon,” Katyal said. “So I expect this week. But look, could it be next week or the week after? You know, absolutely.”
