In a peculiar incident on the night of July 15, a Graham, North Carolina, police officer swiftly responded to an unconventional trespassing call involving a snake.
According to a Facebook post from the police department, officers were dispatched to a residence following reports of the serpent intruder.
“Last night, officers responded to a home concerning a trespassing call. The caller was unsure how the trespasser had gotten inside and was surprised to discover the slippery suspect in the bathroom,” the post read.
The caller, who sounded quite perplexed, was uncertain about how the snake managed to gain entry into the home and was startled to discover the reptile hiding in their bathroom.
After ensuring the safety of all occupants, responding officers worked diligently to clear the residence. The snake, however, had other plans and put up a brief standoff. Nonetheless, Sergeant Way skillfully handled the situation, successfully apprehending the animal.
Officers then managed to remove and relocate the trespassing snake without any further incident, bringing the strange ordeal to a peaceful resolution.
Local residents were left amused by the bizarre encounter, as shared in the department’s lighthearted Facebook post recounting the events.
Thankfully, neither the snake, the residents or the police were injured in the incident.
