Of all the indictments former president Donald Trump is facing, the Georgia one is pretty unique. Sure, it’s a state case that Trump, even if he wins the presidency in 2024, can’t pardon himself out of, but there are also the co-defendants. So. Many. Co-defendants. Eighteen, to be precise. And a healthy chunk of them are attorneys.
So let’s judge them — not just for their legal acumen, or lack thereof, but on how photogenic they are. Now, not all of the former president’s co-defendants — or even Trump himself — have turned themselves in and gotten their mug snapped for posterity. But let’s take a look at the attorneys that have turned themselves in so far.
John Eastman. Author of the coup memo. Facing disbarment. Former professor. Not great with email. Is cool with violence.
Rudy Giuliani. Knows a lot about RICO. Familiar with embarrassing photos. And embarrassment, generally. Former mayor of New York.
Sidney Powell. Still a lawyer, somehow. Big fan of conspiracy theories. Kinda a laughing stock. Doesn’t think people should believe her.
Jenna Ellis. Ready for her close up. Too good for traffic court. Doesn’t give a f what people think. Not a medical doctor.
Kenneth Chesebro. Unindicted co-conspirator 5, the last co-conspirator identified in the federal case against Donald Trump. Author of coup memo #2.
Ray Smith. Georgia lawyer, aka, local attorney of record. Gathered ‘witnesses’ of nonexistent voter fraud.
