Students who want to attend law school online and full time now have an option.

Southwestern Law School is accepting applications beginning this month for its fully online program with full-time and part-time options, Reuters reports. It is the first law school to offer a full-time, fully online program that is accredited by the ABA.

Southwestern Law School announced the program in a press release and linked to a website accepting applications. The Los Angeles school expects to enroll 70 to 80 students who will start classes in fall 2024.

Online graduates of the school can take the bar in nearly every state. An exception is New York, which limits the allowed number of online law school hours allowed.

The only other law school with a fully online program—St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio—serves only part-time students, according to Reuters. Several other accredited law schools offer hybrid classes in which students take classes online and in person.

Southwestern Law School’s online classes will be asynchronous. According to Reuters, that means that students can take the classes at their convenience. Professors will also offer real-time classes through Zoom for those who are interested.
