There are plenty of reasons to relocate to St. Louis. There’s their world famous zoo, culinarily accidents, and a vanity project dozens o’ millions dollar trolly on the Loop that literally no one asked for. But if you’re looking for a good reason, the legal market is booming. And if that’s enough reason for Quarles & Brady to move Midwest, they’re probably worth following. From Law.com:
After consecutive combinations earlier this year that put the Am Law 200 firm in San Diego and Denver, Milwaukee-based Quarles & Brady is opening another new office a little closer to home.
The firm, ranked No. 112, has added an outpost in St. Louis after a string of additions over the last several months that includes leading labor and employment partners from Armstrong Teasdale.
Firm leaders said this week that Gateway City had been on its map for a while, noting its industry strength in practices such as health care and financial services that align well with its own practices, as well as its proximity to other Quarles offices. But they also stated that momentum picked up earlier this year with the addition of Sarah Sise, an employee benefits partner from Armstrong, in April.
Goes to show how much change an addition to the firm can make. Make the most of the city and expect a bunch of applicants from WashU and SLU!
