A Statement from President and CEO, Jill Savitt on the Passing of Dexter Scott King

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights mourns the loss of Dexter Scott King. A lifelong civil rights activist, Dexter will be remembered for his dedication to protecting the legacy of his father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his mother, Coretta Scott King, as Chairman of the King Center and President of the King Estate. We send our deepest condolences to his wife Leah Weber King, his sister Rev. Dr. Bernice A. King, his brother Martin Luther King, III, and his niece Yolanda Renee King.
