The lawmakers had been duking it out on X concerning Cruz’s opposition to Third Circuit judicial nominee Adeel Mangi, who would be the first-ever Muslim appellate judge if confirmed. During Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings, Wiener said that during law school, “[e]veryone thought [Cruz] was a major jackass.”
