Bozeman Police Officers Clint Anderson and Marek Ziegler recently went above and beyond the call of duty to assist a woman in labor who was stranded on her way to the hospital.

According to the police department, officers were on routine patrol on March 1 when they noticed a disabled vehicle obstructing a lane of traffic on Main Street near downtown Bozeman, Montana.

The officers immediately stopped to lend their assistance.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Anderson and Ziegler discovered that it had run out of gas, leaving the driver and passenger stranded.

To their surprise, they learned that the occupants were en route to the hospital because the passenger was in labor.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, the officers sprang into action.

While Ziegler stayed with the expectant couple, Anderson borrowed a gas can from a nearby construction worker and set out to refill it.

Speaking about the incident, Officer Anderson recounted: “When we found out the reason they were rushing to the hospital, we knew we had to act quickly to ensure they reached their destination safely.”

With the gas can filled, Officer Anderson swiftly returned to the scene, where he refueled the stranded vehicle. Their mission accomplished, the officers ensured that the couple could resume their journey to the hospital without further delay.

The Bozeman Police Department later released a statement commending Officers Anderson and Ziegler for their exemplary conduct.

“In moments like these, our officers demonstrate not only their dedication to public safety but also their compassion for members of our community,” remarked a spokesperson for the department.

Reflecting on the experience, Officer Ziegler spoke on the importance of community service and helping those in need.

“It’s all about helping people, especially in moments of crisis,” he remarked.

Thanks to the swift and selfless actions of Officers Anderson and Ziegler, the expectant mother was able to receive the care she needed without further delay.
