KEY LARGO, Fla. — In June, an off-duty Miami-Dade officer in an unmarked department car was arrested for allegedly driving drunk during a pursuit with officers. The department has now released bodycam and dash cam footage of the incident.

The incident, which happened on June 12 around 4 a.m., involved Officer Donovan William Rojas, who refused to stop after deputies observed him speeding on a highway, Local10.com reported. It was then that Rojas led police on a four-mile pursuit, where he reached speeds faster than 110 mph.

During the pursuit, Rojas nearly hit multiple vehicles while swerving on the highway. When he stopped, Rojas identified himself as a Miami-Dade officer. Rojas’ vehicle, he said, was his unmarked police car.

“Get out of the [expletive] car!” an officer yelled. “I don’t give a [expletive] who you are.”

Officers can be heard in the video saying Rojas, who refused a field sobriety test, appears to be intoxicated. Rojas was arrested and is facing charges of fleeing and eluding, along with suspected DUI. Following the arrest, he was relieved of his duties at the Miami-Dade Police Department without pay.
