With the first Monday in October fast approaching, many of us solo and small firm lawyers look ahead to a divided Court that doesn’t speak for us or many of our clients.  In particular, many solo and small firm lawyers have been left to deal with the horrible aftermath of Dobbs v. Jackson and the trickle-down effect it is having on matters like genetic counseling, estate planning and same sex couples, data privacy and  employment.

For me, the first Monday in October seems like a perfect day for those of us who own law firms to make our presence known and remind the Court of Dobbs’ encroachment on many, many more constituencies than women contemplating termination of a pregnancy.  So law firm owners, please join me and MyShingle on the steps of the Capitol on Monday, October 3, 2022 for a quick meetup for individual professional photos and to chat about the impact of Dobbs and other Supreme Court cases (like the problematic major questions doctrine in West Virginia v. EPA) on your practice and the law.

Date: October 3, 2022   Time:  5 pm    Location: Steps of the Supreme Court, 1 First St. NE, Washington D.C.

There’s no cost for the photos, but you will be required to make a $20 payment to hold your spot which will then be donated to a worthy charitable cause (determined by participants).  We’ll need at least eight registrants to move forward with the event, and participation is capped at 25.  If you may be interested, click here to register and make your payment to reserve a slot.
