One potential trigger for the suspect was being told by security officers to stop sleeping in the casino parking lot. It’s believed that the suspect was on her way to Texas at the time of the crash.
Unfortunately, Holloway has been in state psychiatric care for the past seven years awaiting trial. She was offered a plea deal that would help her avoid trial, but she recently declined to accept the offer.
The collision killed one woman and injured dozens of others. The city of Las Vegas has taken preventative action and installed several barriers to prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future.
